Scripture memory 3/1/2020

Thank you for sharing our videos and podcasts with your friends and family! I’ve heard some of you say how cumbersome YouTube can be, so I am working on getting published on other podcasting sites. I’ve also dipped my toe in Twitter and learning that platform too! Keep your prayers coming for this ministry! We truly appreciate them.

In our last podcast, we began building our plan for growing closer to God. We looked at the incarnation of Christ in the New Testament. Now let’s look in the Old Testament.

Genesis 1:26a and 27 say “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our Likeness;” “And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

Here is the Trinity in the Old Testament. God created all things, including us. He planned it all out before we were born. That’s hard to wrap your mind around isn’t it? Christ loves you and me so much He died for us. He willingly gave his life to pay your debt and mine so we wouldn’t have to. Nobody took His life from Him. He gave it up so we could live with Him forever. He could have saved himself that agonizing death on the cross, but He knew He needed to show us how much He loves us, and that He could defeat death. That’s just what He did. Praise God!

As we go into Lent season, some of you may be giving up something and replacing that time with prayer or Bible reading time with God. As you pray, ask God to give you opportunities to invite someone to church. Many people will go to church if they are invited. Google it, the statistics are staggering of the number of people who don’t go to church simply because they have’t been asked to go. It’s time for us as a church to step up and be the church. Ask God to bring someone to your mind and across your path, and help you be obedient.

Who will be in heaven because you invited them to church, Sunday school, or witnessed to them?

Build bridges and allow God to change your life.  You’ll never regret it.

In His love,

Tini
