Scripture Memory 5/15/2019

Earl and I went all over town looking for the perfect place to shoot this video. We knew we wanted it near a hospital or emergency room. We realized these places are in areas that are always busy with people and traffic. We ended up right back where we started our day. I hope the ambient noise isn’t too distracting. Take a moment to pray for those in area hospitals. I’m sure they could use it.
As I was preparing for this devotion , I was reminded of all the people in hospitals who are concerned for their health or the health of a loved one. We feel helpless in many ways.
Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord. “

We learned in a past scripture study that waiting for the Lord means looking for the Lord and hoping for the Lord. This verse tells us that the Lord will give strength to those who hope in Him.

Psalm 27 is a psalm of fearless trust in God. I’ve mentioned before that I like to start my prayer by naming who God is to me. If I’ve been sick, He is my Healer. If I’ve been on a trip or running errands, He is my Protector God. He is my Warrior God if He goes before me and fights my battles for me. This Psalm will display some of the qualities of God, so I hope you will read it this week. If a verse stands out to you, take a minute to write down all the times you remember God revealing Himself to you in that way. This will allow the Bible to come to life for you. Build bridges and allow God to change your life. You will never regret it.
In His love,
